If you have yet to see The Dark Knight Rises, you probably shouldn't read this.

Friday Fashion: Marion Cotillard, My (Anti) Hero

As tweeted, I finally saw The Dark Knight Rises over the holiday break. I say "finally" because this movie has been on my must-see list since filming began (Upgraded to definitely-must-see after watching the extended trailer. Whoa!).

Was it all that I hoped for? I'm still mulling that over, but I was certainly delighted to see Marion Cotillard as the unlikely villain with a higher purpose. Much like her role in Inception, she delivers some of the sassiest, most gloriously condescending lines of the film. She's perfect! Photographer Ellen von Unwerth captures Marion’s devious tendencies in this sultry fashion editorial.

As Inception's Mal and the Dark Knight's Miranda, Marion (Hmmm… lots of Ms here) plays the bad girl you love to love! When she speaks with that sweet voice and her puppy dog eyes fill with tears, you believe that she simply can't help herself. All her naughty behavior is for your own good. This is, of course, right after she stabs you. It's the paradox that makes her villainous roles so sublime.
