Friday Fashion: Lanvin Resort 2014
If resort collections clothe the wealthy during winter’s jet-setting months, my first thought upon viewing Lanvin’s offering was "Where is THIS girl going?!?" The pieces are varied but undeniably glamorous: draped and structured silhouettes in both vibrant and muted shades. Ruffles, embellishment, solids, bold prints, sneakers???… I turned to my favorite fashion resources for answers.
I soon discovered that this collection is less about vacation and more about lifestyle. Where is this girl going? Everywhere! From yachting to job interviews, or even an aunt’s funeral, Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz created a look for every moment. "It’s not just about design.
