Interiors: A New Take on Country Living

Must a country home look country? Not according to fashion designer Nuno Benito, whose modern vacation home stands in contrast to the Portuguese countryside of Alentejo. With an eclectic mix of mid-century finds and contemporary furnishings, the interiors are far from what most would consider country. Perhaps it's time to rethink the whole concept!

Despite the contrast, Benito's home has a respectful balance with its surroundings. Large windows let the sun shine in while offering clear views of Alentejo's famed landscape. The home also brings in the outdoors by using natural surfaces like wood and stone.
