The Glamorama Office Mama

This is a repost from Luxe.ly, my lifestyle blogging project (2011).

I’ve always envied fabulous ladies with ultra chic offices. It embodies a lifestyle to which I aspire - “All is right and lovely and stylish in the world! And when I come to work, the feeling continues!” I had my own office for about two years, a space to decorate as I please. I never completed the vision but I did purchase some key pieces for a great work space (i.e., marble tray, lucite lamp, an amethyst geode… you know the stuff). The foundation was there but I routinely strolled in wearing t-shirts and jeans. Fail. I wanted to be comfortable when I worked. Another fail. Who says you’re suppose to be comfortable?

And so, I envy fabulous ladies like Camille Miceli, Christian Dior’s Creative Director of accessories, who make working in an office seem like the most glamorous thing ever.

Interiors: Distracting...

Is this room fabulous? I certainly can't tell. I'm so distracted by the beautiful, grasscloth wallpaper that my eyes can't focus anywhere else! I love it. I need to wallpaper something stat. Volunteers?

Interiors: Maximalista…

I was absolutely smitten by Tamara Mellon's New York apartment when I first spotted it a few months ago. And now, I have even more pics to drool over. Designer Martyn Lawrence-Bullard pushes modern glamour to the max in Mellon's eclectic digs.

McDonald's? This gal is after my own heart. French fries and white leather make the world a better place.

Which is more fabulous? The desk, her handbag, or those leopard print shoes? (see desktop)

No words for the shoe closet. What else should we expect from Jimmy Choo's co-founder?

In conclusion, this place is nothing short of GLAMAZING! (I totally stole that word). Kudos to the collective creative genius of Martyn and Tamara. We applaud you.

Interiors: An Inspiring Office

I love taking cues from commercial design. This office space by M. Design Interiors shows “chic” and “cheeky” can go hand in hand. Clever wall art, a quirky mural, and a pop of pink add just a touch of the giggles to this sophisticated space.

The mural continues onto the ceiling. Nice!

This office inspires me to perk up my own place. Whether it be a bright color or a little kitsch, I need more fun in my life. Dare to decorate!
