The name Sukio comes from the Japanese word for "like" or "love" but now has become synonymous with what I find luxe, lovely, and too chic not to share! My aesthetic of choice: MODERN GLAMOUR – a style that marries multiple ideas, viewing traditional notions of glamour through a sophisticated lens. In a word, it’s sooo Sukio! - Desiré

In Like a Lion...

March may be one of the most peculiar months of the year with perfect spring days and record snowfalls all within the same 4-week period. The first day of March proved to be the former. I was thrilled to walk about coatless during the afternoon hours. Hellooooo, March!

DC's 70-plus-degree day gave new meaning to the old proverb "in like a lion..." inspiring this tribute to our feline friend. Striking, regal, and dare I say, glamorous, which lion best captures the start of your month?

Dear March, how are you? And the rest? Did you leave Nature well? - Emily Dickinson

Behind the Scenes: KWID Malibu

Things that make me happy: Twitter, smart phones, Instagram, and some of my favorite bloggers/creative types. Last week, they all came together providing a behind-the-scenes look at a Kelly Wearstler RTW fashion shoot. Kelly's Malibu home provided the perfect backdrop and may be one of my favorite KWID designs (neutral colors + bold shapes/textures).

With phones in hand, Karen Robinovitz (@karenrobinovitz), Jamie Beck (@_frommetoyou), The Glamourai (@theglamourai) et al. shared their experience via Instagram. I didn't spot any pics of the design goddess herself, but her presence can be seen throughout.

Thanks for sharing, ladies! I look forward to the final product.

[Update: The Glamourai posted her images on Facebook. Check it out!]
