The house of Emilo Pucci tapped French designer Joseph Dirand to create a perfectly glamorous retail destination in the heart of Manhattan. Located on Madison Avenue, the flagship store proves why retail design is so awesome. 'Over-the-top' has no meaning here - the more decadent, the better. From the brass fixtures to the gold Art Deco mirrors to the marble cabinets, it’s all good.

Interiors: L'Wren Scott's Paris Apartment

In honor of L'Wren Scott's new fragrance launched earlier this month, I dipped into the archives for this Vogue editorial featuring her Paris apartment.

As a stylist and fashion designer, L'Wren is no stranger to mixing and matching beautiful things, whether furniture and accessories or the notes of her perfume. "Patchouli, tuberose, leather, moss, Absinthe, rose—there are all kinds of things in there, but it’s about how you mix the elements." Similarly, she combines mid-century furniture, antiques, and family heirlooms to create the perfect Parisian pad.

Despite sharing the home with her long-time partner, Mick Jagger, L'Wren injects glamour and feminine touches throughout. In an intersection between décor and fashion, she had the taffeta curtains dyed by the same silk manufacturers used for her signature evening dresses.

As for the wildly glamorous glass bath, that can be credited to Mick, who bought the Art Deco ensemble back in the 70s. L'Wren had the collection of door panels, mirrored cabinets, and tiles retrofitted for the apartment. Yeah, it’s pretty amazing.

The Set, The Shoot: Kate Moss for Liu Jo

I’m always looking for interesting ways in which the worlds of fashion and interior design intersect. For years, we've turned outfits to rooms or cheered as designers crossed over (i.e., DVF's home collection). But a past post on Lorenzo Castillo’s dining room, a backdrop for multiple fashion editorials, inspired a new series: The Set, The Shoot. If a room is truly fabulous, why not use it as the setting for a glamorous photo?

I blogged about this gorgeous, London townhome back in July. It was also featured on the cover of Elle Décor’s April issue. It’s the epitome of masculine modern glamour. Yum.

The Shoot: Kate Moss for Liu Jo’s Fall 2012 Campaign

Kate models a range of looks for Liu Jo’s Fall campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The blue velvet sectional in many of the photos is instantly recognizable as Mikic’s.

Aside from the blue sectional shots, Kate is featured in and around the property, including lots of outdoor pics as well as a few in the master suite (below). The bedroom’s beautiful fireplace surround is hard to miss!

It’s a bit like playing Memory, but I hope to find and post more of these interior/fashion shoot combos. Stay tuned.

Glam it up: Kelly Wearstler's Fantasy Dinner Party

In a post for Vogue Daily, Kelly Wearstler sets the table for a fantasy dinner party using pieces from her tabletop, home accessory, and jewelry collections. Her approach to creating the perfect table includes personalizing each place setting right down to the chairs! As for the fantasy guest list, Kelly selects Martin Margiela, Christian Louboutin, Dries Van Noten, and the legendary Alexander McQueen.

Just last week, I posted Kristen Nix's fantasy guest list of Tory Burch, Kelly Hoppen, Celerie Kemble, Aerin Lauder, Randy Powers and her mother. Though a common question, I’ve never thoughtfully completed the exercise...

Glam it up: AERIN At Home

As hoped, Aerin Lauder’s collection of decorative accessories, AERIN At Home, is just as glamorous as her living and work spaces. Although much of the attention has been directed at her beauty line, Aerin’s tabletop accessories, objet, and candles are just as noteworthy. “Beauty is my heritage, but home decor is very much my passion.” And it shows! Gold-toned and lustrous, each piece will add a bit of glamour to any space. Here’s just a sample:

What can be more chicly ironic than a heart made of fool’s gold?! It would also make a luxurious paperweight. Each heart is hand-carved from a single block of pyrite.
