Interiors: Modern Beachy Glam...

That's what I'm calling it, anyway. While perusing Desire to Inspire, I found a great post featuring the work of photographer Jack Thompson. I was particularly drawn to the below, a seemingly beach-inspired, bungalow-like living space. I love the mix of materials (i.e., hot pink, shine, leopard, leather, etc.) against a woody backdrop.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find info to verify my theory, but this just screams "California Coast." No?

Interiors: Stately Glamour...

Oh how I do love the French flair of designer Jean-Louis Deniot. This look may be a bit stodgy for some, but I definitely appreciate its stately beauty, ornate millwork, and sophisticated sheen.

Interiors: Black to Bright...

Celerie Kemble Lonny Magazine

Have you seen the latest issue of Lonny Magazine? It includes this fabulous design by Celerie Kemble, a redo of a model apartment that I featured a few months ago. The new look is a lot brighter (and tamer) than the original design, which included black walls and bold patterns. Do you have a preference? Both are pretty, but I do have a favorite!

Three Fab Things: Wood, Glass, and Brass

3 Fab Things

Introducing Three Fab Things, a new series which highlights accessories, finishes... whatever would be perfect for a modernly glamorous home. I'm excited to FINALLY organize and share some of the beautiful items that I come across while surfing (Do people even say "internet surfing" anymore?).

Today's things are fabulous for their balance of beauty and utility:

1 - The Auerole Chandelier by jGoodDesign showcases organic, glass spheres hand blown by NYC-based artist Jeffrey Goodman.

2 - Inspired by the Art Deco style of the Savoy Hotel, the One Vase Only Vessel is constructed of polished brass and American walnut.

3 - Add wit and glamour to your work space with the Brass Devil Pencil Sharpener by Jonathan Adler.

Interiors: Manly Luxe...

Robbie Laughlin Apartment

First, get a load of those shoes!!! I too have a pair of gold flats, and trust me. You can never go wrong. Ok. Back to the design. The L.A. apartment of E!'s Robbie Laughlin is the quintessential bachelor pad. Kudos to designer Craig Olsen for this manly modern glam achievement. So many textures and finishes! You must head over to Apartment Therapy and peruse the entire House Tour, especially my gentleman readers. This is masculine design done right.

Interiors: Luxe Wrapping...

This bedroom, by Pablo Paniagua, is covered in upholstered panels of raw silk. It's the perfect way to add texture and warmth to a modern space. Combine with a beautifully upholstered headboard, classic sconces, and mirrored side tables for the epitome of hotel chic! Will this look EVER go out of style? I think not.
