The name Sukio comes from the Japanese word for "like" or "love" but now has become synonymous with what I find luxe, lovely, and too chic not to share! My aesthetic of choice: MODERN GLAMOUR – a style that marries multiple ideas, viewing traditional notions of glamour through a sophisticated lens. In a word, it’s sooo Sukio! - Desiré

Interiors: A Contemporary Apartment with Mid-Century Flair

The latest installment of APT with LSD takes us inside the New York City home of Ferebee Taube, founder of the fashion styling website Feyt. After two years of remodeling, Ferebee created an airy family home that mixes contemporary sensibilities, mid-century classics, and space for the kiddies!

Of course, I adore Ferebee's selection of an iconic print by Massimo Vitali, whose beach imagery seems to work in just about any space. She notes, "I love the juxtaposition of the ocean in the photo’s background and the river view from this same room."

Isn't the bedroom perfectly serene?! I especially love the Hans Wegner Papa Bear chairs, great for magazine perusing or iPad skimming.

Interiors: Zani Gugelmann's New York Loft

Sometimes all a home needs is a comfy place to sit. And such was the approach by Zani Gugelmann, as detailed in the latest edition of APT with LSD. "It was important to me that the rooms feel relaxed—we achieved that through soft textures, warm tones, and really comfortable pieces…"

Like fellow jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher, Zani resides in a light-filled Tribeca loft. But with visual space at a premium, she incorporated substantial furnishings to make the space work. "By opening the layout, the space looked smaller, so we used larger pieces… to enhance the scale." Along with boho touches, like a Persian rug and antique Thai pots, Zani creates a home ideal for comfort and conversation.

Though tiny, the bedroom area is equally bright and comfy. The tufted headboard is upholstered in silk, the bed is covered by an Indian throw, and vintage boomerang chairs provide nearby seating.

Interiors: The Eclectic Home of Kyle DeWoody

Just peeped the eclectic apartment of Kyle DeWoody on Vogue.com. This place has vintage finds, an assortment of artwork, and loads of personality. As the creative director and cofounder of Grey Area, an art/design shop, Kyle knows a thing or two about interesting objects - "Alone, they are a great story, but when you bring them into your apartment, they add character, charm, and uniqueness."

Interiors: Nicole Hanley Mellon's Eclectic APT

So lately, I’ve been into all things mismatched and hodgepodged. I guess I’m railing against the establishment in search of warmer, more personal environments. Attempts can be hit or miss, but in each case, I try to understand the designer’s perspective.

Enters the eclectic home of Nicole Henley Mellon - the latest to be featured on Vogue’s APT with LSD. Oozing with personality, this place is all about hand-me-downs and vintage finds. Oh, and art! Can’t forget the art.
