The name Sukio comes from the Japanese word for "like" or "love" but now has become synonymous with what I find luxe, lovely, and too chic not to share! My aesthetic of choice: MODERN GLAMOUR – a style that marries multiple ideas, viewing traditional notions of glamour through a sophisticated lens. In a word, it’s sooo Sukio! - Desiré

Another Icon At Home: Aerin Lauder

Elle takes us inside the Park Avenue apartment, and closet, of beauty heiress Aerin Lauder. According to the mag, the next extension of her lifestyle brand – including lighting, furniture, and tabletop – will debut in the fall. Until then, savor these bit-sized peeks into the world that is Aerin!

A custom off-white paint mixed by Donald Kaufman provides the perfect backdrop for modern art like a vibrant blue abstract by Yves Klein and a word painting by Ed Ruscha, "This is it." For her now-famous dressing room, Aerin chose a playful Gracie wallpaper with blossoms, birds, and butterflies.

Glam it up: AERIN At Home

As hoped, Aerin Lauder’s collection of decorative accessories, AERIN At Home, is just as glamorous as her living and work spaces. Although much of the attention has been directed at her beauty line, Aerin’s tabletop accessories, objet, and candles are just as noteworthy. “Beauty is my heritage, but home decor is very much my passion.” And it shows! Gold-toned and lustrous, each piece will add a bit of glamour to any space. Here’s just a sample:

What can be more chicly ironic than a heart made of fool’s gold?! It would also make a luxurious paperweight. Each heart is hand-carved from a single block of pyrite.

Home accessories are just the beginning. Next spring Aerin’s collaborations will include a fabric collection with Lee Jofa, furniture with E. J. Victor, and lighting with Visual Comfort & Co. Definitely looking forward to it!

Glam it up: AERIN by Aerin Lauder

Aerin Lauder

Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of Estée, will combine her love of beauty and home under the luxury lifestyle brand AERIN, which launches this summer. Although I have yet to sneak a peek at the home décor collection, to debut the following spring, I'm certain Aerin's interior design style will translate into something spectacular. After her dressing room was published in Elle Decor, it quickly became one of the most popular spaces in the design blogosphere. So bright and glamorous - it's every girl's dream (at least, it's this girl's dream).

You can see this penchant for glamour throughout her many homes as well as the new company headquarters below. Will the trend continue as she develops AERIN's line of decorative accessories? Fingers crossed.

A bedside vignette may best capture the AERIN brand - glamour, pretty little things, a luxurious design POV and a framed letter from her grandmother.

Regarding her latest venture, she notes, “AERIN is saturated with the qualities that have surrounded me my entire life, many of which came from my grandmother, Estée: passion, style, hard work, family, and, of course, all things beautiful.” The Lauder legacy continues.
